The Song of My Life

when you were standing in the wake of devastation
when you were waiting on the edge of the unknown
with the cataclysm raining down
your insides crying “save me now”
you were there, impossibly alone
and in a burst of light that blinded every angel
as if the sky had blown the heavens into stars
you felt the gravity of tempered grace
falling into empty space
with no one there to catch you in their arms
do you feel cold and lost in desperation?
you build up hope but failures all you’ve known
remember all the sadness and frustration
and let it go…let it go…

These words were taken from one of Linkin Park’ singles “Iridescent” in the album “A Thousand Suns”. This single pretty much represent how my life is and what i feel now, the song, the lyrics, even the title Iridescent is very ‘me’. Except for the last part of the song, because i still can’t do that…

There are few other songs but not as ‘me’ as this one, like Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On, Daniel Bedingfield’s If You Are Not The One, Avril Lavigne’s Wish You Were Here, Aerosmith’s I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing, Kahlil Fong’s Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You, Jieb Wattana’s Because of The Heart, Boa’s Every Heart, Drive’s Melepasmu, Peter Pan’s Cerita Tentang Kita, Edcoustic’s Aku Ingin MencintaiMu Setulusnya and David Cook’s Always be My Baby. The ‘girl’ in the last song i mentioned is me, when i hear that song, feels like someone out there shout it to me.

I think everyone has their own so called ‘life soundtrack’, what’s yours? ^^
